Takeoff Space INC.
HELPING THE NEXT GENERATION

ABOUT US
Our free program works with academically passionate first-generation/low-income (FGLI) high school students to provide virtual mentorship in an “older sibling” format between college and high school students throughout the college application process. We are an organization made up of mostly FGLI mentors who are dedicated to providing our perspective and college-aged voices to students who may not have prior connections to college students.
Our “older sibling” model has seen success with students from Lowell High School in Lowell, MA, where we were able to help 15 students realize that college was an option for them. Many of our former scholars are now attending their top-choice colleges and remain in contact with our organization. In fact, some students from our first cohort have returned to the program to lend a helping hand with our future mentoring endeavours.
